There’s darkness everywhere I turn. 

Though it’s daylight, and I feel 

The sun shining brightly 

On my darkened skin, 

I don’t see a thing 

Except for the darkness 

Permeating my mind and my soul, 

As I contemplate your departure from all this — 

What was once a life filled with bright colors 

Now turned black.
